I added background fill to the designs because the felt I was using as a background wasn’t in very good shape. Fill makes the patches sturdier, but I didn’t want them too stiff, so I lengthened the stitches and stitch separation. I tried stitching in different configurations, and the machine ran through 4 pre-wound bobbins!
